Dr Eliane Abi Ghanem

Chief Veterinarian & Hospital Manager

Dr. Eliane Abi Ghanem graduated in 2014 and brings over a decade of experience in small animal medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging. She holds an Advanced Certificate in Ultrasound from Improve International and obtained her ISVPS certification in 2022. As the Founder, Chief Veterinarian and hospital manager of VetMed Pawsitive Hospital, Dr. Eliane leads the medical team with both expertise and compassion.

Passionate about veterinary medicine, Dr. Eliane approaches every case with unwavering dedication and compassion for both her patients and their guardians. Alongside her clinical role, she is deeply invested in mentoring young veterinarians, promoting continuous learning, and fostering a positive and supportive hospital environment for both the team and pet guardians.

Mr. Wassim Darwiche

Founder & Showroom Manager

Wassim Darwiche is the founder of VetMed Pawsitive Hospital and manager of the in-house pet shop. With a calm and grounded presence, he leads the team with empathy and understanding, creating a supportive and welcoming environment for both staff and clients.

As the driving force behind VetMed, Wassim is deeply involved in daily operations while ensuring his team feels heard, valued, and empowered. His leadership style, built on trust and respect, is at the heart of the hospital’s positive and collaborative spirit.

Samantha

Senior Veterinarian & Showroom Supervisor

Dr. Samantha Fares graduated in 2016 and has developed extensive experience in small animal medicine and patient care throughout her veterinary career. At VetMed Pawsitive Hospital, she serves as a Senior Veterinarian & Showroom Supervisor, combining her clinical expertise with the coordination and supervision of our showroom’s daily operations, where pet guardians can find a wide range of products and essentials for their pets’ health, care, nutrition, and well-being.

Dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented, Dr. Samantha plays an important role in ensuring both excellent patient care and a smooth, welcoming experience for clients visiting the hospital and showroom. Her leadership, professionalism, and commitment to animal welfare make her a valued member of the VetMed team.

Dr. Rita Maksoud

Senior veterinarian & Assistant Manager

Dr. Rita Maksoud graduated in 2021 and has been dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for animals ever since. She joined VetMed Hospital as a Senior Veterinarian & Assistant Manager, where she plays an important role in both clinical care and the daily coordination of hospital operations. Committed to continuous growth and development, Dr. Rita is constantly expanding her medical knowledge and refining her clinical skills to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Her bright spirit, positive energy, and supportive nature bring warmth to the team and help create a welcoming environment for both pets and their guardians.

Mathieu Jawhar

Junior veterinarian (Final-Year Veterinary Student)

Mathieu Jawhar is a Junior Veterinarian (Final-Year Veterinary Student) at the Lebanese University Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine. At VetMed Hospital, he supports the medical team in daily clinical tasks, patient care, diagnostics, and emergency cases.Ambitious and eager to learn, Mathieu is continuously building a strong foundation in veterinary medicine and clinical practice.

His dedication, passion, reliability, and team spirit make him a valued member of the VetMed team. He is also an important asset to our emergency department, where his commitment and calm approach contribute greatly during critical situations.

Katia

Junior veterinarian (Final-Year Veterinary Student)

Katia is currently in the final year of her veterinary degree at the Lebanese University Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine and joined VetMed Pawsitive Hospital as a Junior Veterinarian (Final-Year Veterinary Student). She actively participates in consultations, patient care, and daily clinical procedures, while continuously gaining hands-on experience in different aspects of small animal practice. Calm, gentle, and hardworking, Katia approaches every patient with compassion and dedication. Eager to learn and continuously improve, she brings positivity, motivation, and a strong sense of responsibility to the team. Her commitment to growth and patient care makes her a promising future veterinarian and a valued member of VetMed.

Rakelle Daou

Veterinary Assistant

Rakelle is an invaluable member of the VetMed Hospital team, playing a key role in the daily care of our inpatients. She ensures treatments are administered on time and with compassion, always prioritizing the well-being of each animal.

She also assists during vaccinations and consultations, handling animals with a calm and gentle approach. Her steady presence and ability to work under pressure make her a trusted support for both the veterinary team and our patients.

Myriam Jawhar

Sales & Front Desk Coordinator

Myriam Jawhar is the welcoming face of VetMed Pawsitive Hospital, handling both sales and front desk coordination. She ensures every client feels cared for from the moment they walk in, offering a warm and friendly atmosphere that reflects the hospital’s values.

With a caring approach and strong product knowledge, Myriam helps clients choose the right food, treats, and accessories to keep their pets happy and healthy.
