Medical Services

Consultation

Consultation

At VetMed Veterinary Hospital, consultations are designed to provide compassionate, thorough, and personalized care for every pet. During each visit, our veterinarians perform a comprehensive physical examination, review your pet’s medical history, and address any concerns you may have.

We emphasize preventive care, early diagnosis, and tailored treatment plans to support your pet’s long-term health and well-being. At VetMed, your pet’s comfort and your peace of mind are always our priority.

Laboratory

In House Laboratory Testing
At VetMed Veterinary Hospital, our in-house laboratory is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology to provide rapid, accurate results that support timely medical decision-making. Our laboratory includes a complete blood count (CBC) analyzer, biochemistry analyzer, PCR diagnostic platform, and high-quality microscopy.

These tools allow us to perform a wide range of diagnostic tests, including blood analysis, cytology, fecal examinations, skin scrapings, and otic (ear) cytology. The availability of these diagnostics on site enables our veterinary team to quickly identify underlying conditions and initiate appropriate treatment without unnecessary delays, ensuring the best possible care for your pets.

Specialized Ultrasonography

Specialized Ultrasonography
At VetMed Veterinary Hospital, we provide advanced ultrasound examinations performed by Dr. Eliane Abi Ghanem, who holds an International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS) Certificate in Small Animal Ultrasound. Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging technique that allows real-time evaluation of internal organs.

This diagnostic tool enables detailed assessment of abdominal organs such as the liver, gallbladder, spleen, kidneys, urinary bladder, gastrointestinal tract, reproductive organs, and abdominal lymph nodes. We also perform thoracic ultrasound to evaluate the lungs, pleural space, and structures within the chest when indicated.

Ultrasound is also valuable for guiding diagnostic procedures, including fluid sampling and fine needle aspirations. VetMed Veterinary Hospital also serves as a referral center for ultrasound examinations, welcoming cases referred by other veterinary clinics for advanced imaging and diagnostic support

Vaccination

Vaccination

At VetMed Veterinary Hospital, vaccinations are an essential part of preventive care, protecting pets from serious and preventable infectious diseases. Our vaccination protocols are tailored to each pet’s age, health status, and lifestyle, ensuring they receive the most appropriate protection.

We follow the WSAVA (World Small Animal Veterinary Association) vaccination guidelines, which promote evidence-based vaccination practices and help avoid both under-and over-vaccination.

Each vaccination visit also includes a complete health examination, allowing us to monitor your pet’s overall health and detect potential issues early. Our goal is to keep your pets protected and healthy throughout every stage of life.

Parasite Control

Parasite Control

At VetMed Veterinary Hospital, we provide comprehensive parasite prevention programs to protect pets from both internal and external parasites. Our protocols are tailored to your pet’s age, lifestyle, and risk of exposure, ensuring effective and safe protection.

We offer prevention and treatment for common parasites such as fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites, and heartworm, helping reduce health risks for both pets and their families. Our team will guide you in selecting the most appropriate products and preventive schedule to keep your pet healthy year-round.

Surgical Services

Surgical Services

At VetMed Veterinary Hospital, we provide a wide range of surgical procedures performed with a strong focus on patient safety, precision, and comfort. Our surgical services include soft tissue surgeries such as spays and neuters, mass removals, gastrointestinal procedures, bladder surgery, and other medically necessary operations.

Each patient undergoes a thorough pre-surgical assessment, and anesthesia is carefully monitored throughout the procedure using modern monitoring equipment. Our team follows strict aseptic surgical protocols to minimize risks and ensure optimal outcomes.

From preparation to recovery, we prioritize pain management, careful monitoring, and post-operative care, ensuring your pet’s safety and comfort every step of the way.

Dentistry

Dentistry
At VetMed Veterinary Hospital, we provide comprehensive dental care to help maintain your pet’s oral health and overall well-being. Dental disease is one of the most common conditions in dogs and cats, and if left untreated, bacteria from the mouth can enter the bloodstream and affect vital organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys.

Our dental services include professional ultrasonic dental scaling, surgical extractions, and periodontal care. Each dental procedure is performed under general anesthesia, allowing for a thorough cleaning above and below the gum line and a complete evaluation of the oral cavity.

We also emphasize preventive dental care, offering dental evaluations for puppies and kittens as well as guidance on home dental care products and routines to help maintain healthy teeth and gums between professional cleanings.

Digital Radiography

Digital Radiography

At VetMed Veterinary Hospital, we use an advanced digital radiography system to obtain high-quality diagnostic images quickly and safely. Radiography allows our veterinarians to evaluate the bones, joints, thorax (heart and lungs), and abdominal organs, providing essential information for accurate diagnosis.

This imaging technique plays an important role in investigating conditions such as fractures, lameness, respiratory disease, gastrointestinal problems, and urinary tract disorders. The speed and precision of our digital system allow for rapid image acquisition and immediate evaluation, helping us make timely and informed medical decisions for your pet.

Microchipping

Microchipping

At VetMed Veterinary Hospital, we implant a microchip that is safely and quickly placed under your pet’s skin. This tiny device contains a unique identification number that stays with your dog or cat for life.

The microchip can be scanned by veterinary clinics and shelters, allowing your pet to be identified if they are lost. While microchips are not tracking devices, they provide a reliable and permanent form of identification beyond traditional collars and tags. Microchipping is also considered the international standard for pet identification and is often required for international travel.
